Inception
Purba Bharati Gas Pvt. Ltd. , a joint venture company of Assam Gas Company Limited, OIL India Limited, and GAIL Gas Limited was incorporated in November 19, 2019 as a City Gas Distribution (CGD) Company for distribution of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Sectors and distribution and marketing of CNG in the state of Assam. Purba Bharati Gas Private Limited is authorized by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to lay, build, operate and expand city gas distribution project in Geographical Areas of Silchar , Hailakandi, Kamrup and Kamrup Metropolitan.
